Cindy A. Terry, AIA
Cindy Terry is a partner and principal at Westwork Architects. The firm provides services to commercial, institutional and residential clients. It has been producing award winning work since 1979 and is also working on pre-fabricated modular pods, work station furniture design and green or living building walls. Cindy Terry with Glade F. Sperry were principals at Westwork Architects when it was recognized for its excellence in architecture and named "Firm of the Year for 1993" by the Western Mountain Region, AIA. She has lectured on architecture at Albuquerque Technical and Vocational Institute and served as a guest critic at the University of New Mexico's School of Architecture and Planning.
Cindy Terry is a native New Mexican. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas and completed a Master of Architecture degree at the University of New Mexico in 1987. She has worked at Westwork Architects since 1985 and is now the senior partner in the firm. Her experiences include work with institutional, commercial and private clients. Projects designed by Cindy Terry, either individually or with the firms founder Glade F. Sperry, have received national recognition. She has garnered the respect of her peers, clients, contractors and end users with buildings that win awards and meet clients' needs, budgets and schedules. Her skill as an architect has enabled her to recently complete UNM's Neuro Biology building on time and within budget. The building is over 45,000 square feet with a budget of more than 7.5 million dollars and needed to be completed within 12 months from the time of awarding the design contract.
Mark T. De Pree, AIA
Mark De Pree is currently a partner and principal at Westwork Archtiects. De Pree has served as adjunct faculty to the University of New Mexico's School of Architecture and to Central New Mexico Community College (formerly TVI). He has managed multi-million dollar development companies and his own construction firm. His design work has received local and regional awards and been widely published. Mark De Pree received a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of New Mexico in 1989. While studying at UNM, De Pree's degree was recognized as distinguished, his work published in School Periodicals, and travel supported with scholarship. He received a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University in 1985. After graduating, De Pree was hired by Lockheed Engineering and Management Company and worked at White Sands Missile Range as an optical/mechanical engineer. He quickly became a project manager. His efforts at White Sands included support of measuring atmospheric turbulence and calibration of the rendezvous radar equipment. De Pree was licensed in 1978 as a General Contractor (GB-98) by the State of New Mexico and shortly thereafter built the first of many projects designed to be heated, passively, with solar energy. His quest to be part of projects which are in harmony with the natural environment continues to this day.
